Visit of the Enoch Dahls

During July we had a wonderful visit with Enoch & Jennifer & family.  They visited us in Nauvoo.

Luke, Savannah & Isaiah by the River.

The American Lotus (Lily pads) have been slower to bloom this year.  They are finally started to bloom now--end of July.  There is a lot more foliage too.
Enoch Dahl family watching the Youth of Zion vignette

The Young Performing missionaries do a vignette called Youth of Zion at the Corner of Main and Kimball.  It is great.  They talk about the Whistling and Whittling Brigade and about the Rawlings sisters who saved the pages of the Doctrine & Covenants.

The Wagon Ride that they took was old home week.  Elder Dahl and Elder Brough were the teamsters and I was the narrator.

Savannah at Pioneer Pastimes

The kids favorite things to do in Nauvoo was visiting Pioneer Pastimes.  It is a fun place with a log cabin, log school, and lost of pioneer games and toys.  There are pioneer dressup clothes too.

We went to Carthage on our preparation day while Enoch and Jennifer were here.

We were so glad to go to Sunset by the Mississippi while the kids were here.  Isaiah, Luke, and Savannah marched in the Children's parade.
